Why Was the ICT PA7 Discontinued?
ICT regularly updates its product line to keep pace with newer currency releases, evolving security features, and advances in bill-reading technology. The PA7 series, while a reliable workhorse for arcade, vending, gaming, and amusement applications for many years, has reached its end-of-life cycle.
The ICT PA7-E ("E" for Enhanced) is the next-generation replacement. It is engineered as the updated replacement series for older PA7 units and is the best path forward for most customers replacing discontinued PA7 validators.
