Description
The S-98 mid-width full-coverage door family is intended for compatible coin-door installations with limited clearance around the opening. Current configurations include the standard S-98-S and the S-98-Notched, both using 7-gauge steel with a black wrinkle powder-coated finish. Selecting the correct upper-frame profile is important when cabinet trim sits close to the door.
Features and specifications
- S-98-S uses equal-height upper and lower doors. The supplier identifies it as the common standard configuration on many machines from approximately 2003 onward.
- S-98-Notched has narrower upper and lower frame sections and a notch at the upper-right corner.
- The notched configuration was developed for Fast and the Furious doors and is described by the supplier as fitting the applications served by the S-98-S.
- Both current configurations are supplied with mounting hardware.
- The original S-98 is discontinued according to the supplier's description; the S-98-S is identified as its replacement.
Selection and installation notes
Compare the upper door, lower door, top frame, and upper-right corner of your cabinet before making a selection. The older S-98 used a larger upper door, whereas the S-98-S uses matching upper and lower door heights. Where clearance is especially tight, the slimmer frame and corner relief of the notched version are the details to examine in the product photos. Machine age is only an identification clue and should not replace a physical fit check. The supplier still displays the discontinued original S-98 in its option selector, but it has intentionally not been made a purchasing choice in this listing.
