The MEI Talos T7 is the vending side of the Talos platform, built for snack, beverage, and combo machines as well as kiosks and other MDB equipment. It is the family to look at if your machine is a vender rather than an amusement cabinet.
We carry the T7 range — T702, T712, T742, T7C2, T7D2, T7P2, T7R2, T7S2, and T7T2 — plus the TR7 recycler builds. Recyclers, listed as TR7C2, TR7D2, TR7P2, TR7R2, and TR7S2, hold accepted notes in a recycling cassette so the machine can pay change back in bills instead of coins, which cuts coin handling and reduces sold-out-of-change downtime. If you are quoting a route where customers pay with $5s and $10s, a recycler usually pays for itself faster than an acceptor plus a coin mech.
As with the rest of the Talos line, the suffix after the dash — U3MUS, U5MUS, U7MUS and so on — sets the cash box and interface configuration, and units with different suffixes are not interchangeable. Amusement-market Talos units are on our Talos T6 Series and Talos T8 Series pages.
Common questions about the MEI Talos T7
- What is the difference between a T7 and a TR7? The TR7 adds a bill recycler so the machine can give change in notes.
- Is the T7 for vending? Yes. The T6 and T8 are the amusement families.
- Which suffix do I need? Match the full part number on your existing unit's label.
- Do recyclers need a different harness? Confirm with us before ordering — recycler installs vary by machine.
