Description
The Pyramid Platinum PT1-LB3-USA is Pyramid Technologies' next-generation bill acceptor, built for 24/7 duty in amusement, skill game, kiosk, gaming, and vending equipment. This version has a built-in 120 VAC power supply, so it can run from line voltage in machines that do not provide 12 VDC. It accepts $1, $5, $10, $20, $50, and $100 bills and stacks them into a lockable 500-note cash box.
Platinum does away with DIP switches and configuration cards. Firmware and settings load from a USB flash drive or a PC, and the unit keeps them even when power is removed. Internal sensors auto-calibrate, so it never needs manual calibration.

Communication
Supports standard pulse, always-enabled pulse, Mars-style 600-baud serial, RS-232 (through the 18-pin harness), and RS-232 over the rear USB Type-B port. The interface is set by the configuration file, either at the factory or through Platinum Tools.

Reading the model number
Platinum part numbers follow the pattern PT1-[cash box type][capacity][power]-[country]. In PT1-LB3-USA: L = locking cash box, B = 500-note capacity, B = 120 VAC power, and USA = US currency.
